What's behind the acronym, ABC?

Above and Beyond Counseling, PLLC was founded in 2026 from a hashtag-worthy acronym, ABC. Many names were considered, but the foundation of my passion for service has always been to represent compassion, advocation, relation, and education, also referred to as care.

With CARE in mind, above and beyond represents my intention to provide above and beyond services. ABC has been a guide in my journey for up to two decades after being coined by my dad and used as a personal reminder when he noticed I was struggling with uncertainty.

no matter the circumstance, in every moment, "ABC" reminded me to dig deep, never give up, and pursue with passion.

Originating from my adolescence, ABC initially represented 'ADDitude, Belief, and Confidence. It was a term I held with high regard because it not only empowered me, but it also represented a focus . it was a short reminder with powerful meaning. it represented a choice, And more yet, that we have control of that choice.

in Every moment there is a choice to step up or step back. Step up into becoming your best self, or step back with potential to miss opportunity.

Opportunity for growth, peace, love, or fill in your own blank.

It was the value of that acronym that led my journey through adolescence, young adulthood, and continues to guide me in life.

Thus, Above and beyond counseling was established. with fuller meaning to outwardly express my personal motivation to provide support, empowerment, and healing to others.
